Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Beauport Ambulance’s Basic Life Support (BLS) division provides dependable, compassionate care for patients requiring non-invasive medical support and safe transportation. Staffed by highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), our BLS teams form the foundation of our community’s emergency medical system — always ready, always professional.

What We Offer

Our EMTs respond to 911 emergencies in our contracted towns and serve as back-up responders for neighboring communities. Beyond emergency response, our BLS crews manage a full range of medical transportation services, including:

  • Interfacility transfers between hospitals and long-term care centers
  • Dialysis and radiation therapy transports
  • MRI and outpatient procedure trips
  • Event standbys for public gatherings, school sports, and community events

Fleet & Equipment

Each BLS unit is equipped with advanced patient-care systems such as:

  • Stryker Power Stretchers with integrated Power-LOAD systems for safe and efficient lifting
  • Ferno Transcend Stair Chairs for safe patient movement up and down stairs
  • ZOLL AEDs for rapid cardiac intervention
  • Glucometers and other essential diagnostic tools
